Day 272

This little bunny in the basket I leave in my bathroom. When John asked me to marry him the ring was in one of the eggs.

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

Day 271

We had a partial eclipse. If only I would learn the manual settings on my camera.

Monday, September 27, 2010

Day 270

This is the school Tim is assigned to do his classes for his Math and Science proficiency tests. Didn't think I would ever be driving a kid to this school. This is the school I went to in Jr. High. His classes are actually behind the school in portables.

Day 269

This is the time I got up after the two full days of classes at I.U. I guess my brain wasn't use to thinking that much.

Saturday, September 25, 2010

Day 268

This is the class that I was most excited to have. This is Elizabeth Kartchner aka Dear Lizzy. I follow her blog and love the things she does and she didn't disappoint us with her album. I was like a little kid meeting her. The group picture is the closing ceremony. (Layle, Stepanie, Dear Lizzy, Janna, Teresa and Melody Ross. (creator of Chatterbox) Despite being on overload of classes I had a great time again. Hopefully see them in "2011".

Day 267

First class of the day for I.U. 2010 with Teresa Collins. We made the Gratitude album. I didn't finish but I never do at these classes. This is our table of girls. (Michelle, Brenda, Bridget and Me) We were called the Glitz Girls. The classes are divided into 3 groups. (The Dazzling Divas, Glitz Girls, Bling Babes) I would say about 250 ladies total at the event.

Thursday, September 23, 2010

Day 266

Bridget and I went to the Meet and Greet for I.U. which is starting tomorrow. This picture is after a lot of the girls cleared out. The room which is the store for I.U. was packed. Bridget and I with Susie who hosted the the Alice In Wonderland charm swap.

Day 265

Ok so I don't get enough reality TV. Today the coroner's inquest started for a case that has had a lot of attention in Las Vegas. This is the first time they have televised an inquest due to all the attention as to how the inquest process is done. I had a hard time dragging myself from the TV. It should last till Friday or Monday. I find this type of stuff fascinating. Good thing I have Tivo for the rest of the week.

Day 264

I've always liked these signs that are in our neighborhood. Still reminds me of being in the outskirts of town. Even though houses are almost all around us now.

Monday, September 20, 2010

Day 263

Told John until this hired hand (ME) gets new gloves to work in the yard I'm on strike. Didn't take him long to buy new ones...

Sunday, September 19, 2010

Day 262

Daniel stopped by on his way to work. It's so hard to believe he is this old. He brought a couple of dvd's that his dad had converted from the movie camera. Daniel was about 2 years old and I watched them an the tears were flowing. John even had tears in his eyes. Daniel has always been such a calm, polite, smart and good kid and the movies really show that.

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Day 261

Finally finished this Skeleton album I've been working on. Seems like it has taken me forever to finish this one.

Friday, September 17, 2010

Day 260

So yesterday when I was chopping the palms I sorta chopped the water line....Noticed it today when the water went on.....oops...sorry John...lol

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Day 259

Before and after....The other day John and I saw someones mediterranean palms that were nicely shaped. I told him we need to do that to ours. They are so out of control and we weren't sure how to cut them. Well today I grabbed the choppers and went at it. These things are deadly. Got one of the thorns in my skin and didn't know it until later. Ouch. What a difference they look. I'm going to see how long it takes John to notice when he comes home.

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Day 258

I knew I had a tote in that closet somewhere....lol

Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Day 257

Somewhere in the bottom of this closet is my scrapbook tote on wheels. I need to get it out to clean it and start packing for I.U. next week. When I was on my mad cleaning spree that side of the room which is the closet didn't get done yet. Yikes.... It will soon.

Day 256

Saw this recipe in this magazine and looked good. (they always do) I needed a 9x3" round pan. Standard is 9x2½" so I bought the standard since I couldn't find the other one. It had a lot of steps to prepare. It didn't run over the pan but was real close. It didn't cook in the amount of time it said so it spent a lot more time in the oven. Then it had to cool which after 1 hours I gave up and followed the rest of the recipe. I had to submerge it in a simmering pan for 8 minutes to loosen the carmel to get the cake out of the pan. Well when I submerged the pan into the water the water spilled over into the cake. At this point I was ready to throw it in the trash. John took some to work and was going to share with the guys. I said please no until you try it. How embarrassing to share soggy cake....lol This is probably why I don't really like to cook. I'd rather be doing something else.

Sunday, September 12, 2010

Day 255

Yep it's that day again. I don't know why I dread doing this and mopping my floors so much...lol

Saturday, September 11, 2010

Day 254

In remembrance....This flag was flown over the WTC and given to Station 5 on Hinson. The agreement is that this flag can only be flown on 9/11 from 7am to 7pm and is flown at half mast. Other flags at LV fire stations are not flown at half mast on this day. A piece of the WTC was also given to this fire station to display.

Friday, September 10, 2010

Day 253

We haven't been to Red Robin since Daniel started his new job as busboy and Hospitality (Hospo as they call it). So John and I went tonight for dinner. Daniel didn't want to be embarrassed for a picture so John took it on the sly. He likes busing because he gets tips.

Thursday, September 9, 2010

Day 252

I have been needing to get new jammies for obviously sometime. How embarrassing. I finally got new ones today. I can't even believe how bad they are. No wonder John is always making fun of them. I guess so....lol

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Day 251

I had one of our Scrapbook stores hold this stamp set for me so Bridget and I went across town to pick it up. I'm on this TH thing lately. We went to lunch and as usual talked, talked and talked. We haven't been able to get together much this summer. Thanks Bridget for letting me talk your ear off.

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Day 250

Today I was on the 215 and it poured rain. Which if you live in LV is unusual for us. I couldn't stop and didn't get the dark clouds so this is the left over.

Monday, September 6, 2010

Day 249

Daniel and I met at Applebee's for dinner. He always has his eyes closed in pictures????

Sunday, September 5, 2010

Day 248

This is my little Skipper and when we camp she sleeps under our covers because it's a little nippy.

Saturday, September 4, 2010

Day 247

Tim had never been to Bryce so we drove over to see it. I think Bryce is one of the most spectacular places. The colors are so beautiful. Daniel and I went several years ago and we took the helicopter through the canyon and OMG how exciting. First helicopter ride for both of us.

Friday, September 3, 2010

Day 246

John and Tim made a fire. Dang didn't have any marshmallows. John cooking Kabobs with our new Kabob holder on the grill. $5.00 deal and it worked great. The bobs were good.

Thursday, September 2, 2010

Day 245

This is me out on one of our trail rides. This little creek was pretty deep and I had to hold my feet up. Don't want wet socks. I have always thought this sign was cute. ATV crossing. This place in Utah is PACKED with ATV riders and especially on Holidays.

Wednesday, September 1, 2010

Day 244

Took some bird seed up to Utah but didn't have a birder feeder so I took this water bottle and carved a hole to put the seed in. Pretty good idea, huh? The Blue Jays and Squirrels were going crazy for it. They kept fighting each other for the seed. This Blue Jay when the feeder was empty would pound on the feeder telling us to refill it. It was the funniest thing.
