Day 120

John and I had to drive across town today and went by Wayne Newton's "Casa de Shenandoah". Again he is having financial problems so who knows how long this will be the
"Casa de Shenandoah".

Day 119

Yes I read this magazine. One of my guilty pleasures. I have always been intrigued by the rich and famous. Can never get enough gossip.

Day 118

Daniel was suppose to have one of his request for a scholarship done last Sunday so John could take it to work with him. Well my Daniel rarely gets things done ahead of time. So we had to drive 60 miles out of town to meet John half way to his work so he could turn it in on time. We are in the middle of the desert and the wind is blowing about 50 miles an hours. Hopefully the end results will be good. He has another due the 14th...whats the odds of him having it done so I don't have to do this again. Gotta love these kids. He really is a good kid.

Day 117

I decided to jump on the bandwagon with the showing of the purse items. I didn't think I carried much as my purse is pretty small but I guess I do. Yes I collect wrapped toothpicks from restaurants. Don't like to be without one. I'm not really sure why I carry so many pens. hummm.....

Day 116

This is one of my favorite possessions. John bought me this about 3 or 4 years ago. I have always had a thing for cameras and taking lots of pictures. Just ask my Daniel.... I've been saying for years I want to take a photography class but still haven't. Unfortunately it is too big to lug around so I do have a small one I keep in my purse.

Day 115

We went to Logandale to ride our quads. Logandale Trail is the back side of Valley of Fire. The rocks are really pretty. So we start out and the quad Tim is riding (yellow) the battery dies and not close to our truck. So John rides back to get the tow rope so I can pull him to see if we can get it started. It did so we took it back to the truck and doubled up on mine. It was sooooo hot. I guess with the sand, rocks and no shade Tim and I were dying waiting for John. Then we took off again.

This picture is of Me in the far back. We were behind a tour guide.

Tim and John.

At the top of the mountain were mountain goats. I don't know how they hang on the edge of the mountain. If you double click on the picture some are under a ledge. Way too hot for them too....lol We did have a nice time despite it was hot.

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Day 114

John has the trailer and all the quads ready to take off tomorrow. We are headed to Logandale for the day. Weather is nice should be fun. This is the first outing since the weather has warmed up.

Day 113

I have been wanting to try this new restaurant that recently opened by our house so we did. It serves family style mexican food and it was good. Recommend the carnitas and carne asada.... The name is "Leticia's" which is one of my good friends name. Thought that was cute.

Day 112

OK here is the story on this cart. I've been wanting to make a mini album using the birdcage on the SFTN cart. Since I won't pay what that cart is going for I found a birdcage on this cart. So I bid on Ebay and won it for $23.15 and free shipping. The sad part is I don't care about the rest of the cart just the birdcage. Can't pass up a deal. I seriously have to go back to work to support my scrapbooking habit. I promise not to buy anymore carts for awhile. I promise. I promise. I promise.

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Day 111

Went to see "The Last Song" today. Didn't know what to expect with Miley Cyrus. I thought it was pretty good.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Day 110

Bridget had talked about this place so I had to check it out. It's the Cleveland Clinic Brain Health building. Pretty crazy the way they built it.

Monday, April 19, 2010

Day 109

Our apricot tree and things to come.

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Day 108

Tim still has it going on the trampoline.

Saturday, April 17, 2010

Day 107

The ACMA is at the MGM Sunday so the Fremont Experience had a lot of entertainment. We watched Miranda Lambert tonight and last night was Lady Antebellum. (wanted to see her) The place was packed....Couldn't even move.

Friday, April 16, 2010

Day 106

I'm trying to complete some of the projects that I have started. This is a charm swap with the Alice In Wonderland theme that I'm doing for the Inspiration Unlimited Show in September. This will be my second time going and let me tell you how much fun it is. It is two days of solid classes. Teresa Collins teaches one and I heard Dear Lizzy is going to be one of the teachers this year.

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Day 105

When Die Cut Central had a sale on the carts last week for $29.99 I couldn't resist. They had a place to leave a comment on the shipping info and I put this "Please don't tell my husband". I wanted to give someone a chuckle at the store.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Day 104

If this kid looks familiar to you from another blog you are right. This is Bridget's son Dom. Her boys had track today so I went to watch them. (Maybe we talked more than watched) I had to laugh at the writing he has on his sweats... "God bod" Only Dom could get away with it.....

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Day 103

It's been along winter and I definitely needed a pedi. Getting ready for the summer sandals.

Monday, April 12, 2010

Day 102

Happy Birthday John....We left Mesquite this morning and drove to St. George to have breakfast at the Cracker Barrel. I think they have a great breakfast. Then of course since we were in St. George we drove over to Roberts and I had to do a little craft shopping. John spoils me. Then we came home and I baked the BD boy a cake.

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Day 101

For John's BD tomorrow I decided to make reservations in Mesquite at the Casablanca Hotel and Casino. We were surprised at how nice the Hotel was and the pool area. Reminded us of our Hotel in Hawaii (tropical) when we got married. We had a nice dinner, lost some money playing poker. Had a couple drinks and listened to a band playing in the lounge area and called it a night. John said he had a good time.

Saturday, April 10, 2010

Day 100

I can't believe I have actually hung in here for 100 days.

Friday, April 9, 2010

Day 99

I won this cart on one of Kathy Orta's ustream classes. I was so excited that I won....

Thursday, April 8, 2010

Day 98

This is another dreaded machine in my house. I've been saying for the last 2 weeks I was going to shampoo my carpet in my bedroom. Well today I finally did it. John use to do it until I learned how. Something said about not knowing how to do something. I really don't mind since I don't work and have plenty of time.

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Day 97

When I was going to get the mail I was thinking.... How long has it been since the post office actually delivered mail to my house. Well as good as I can remember it has been about 17 years. The good ole days. Oh well I guess I get more exercise except on days when I drive by it.

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Day 96

Whenever we give our dogs the rawhide treats I have to separate them. The little dog growls at the big dog. Go figure...lol So I put Zeus out in the back and he was sadly looking in. I knew I had to take a pic. Wow look how dirty my door looks up close...lol

Monday, April 5, 2010

Day 95

John and I went out to the base today and I have always like this statue of the Thunderbirds.

Sunday, April 4, 2010

Day 94

We have had a lot of wind here lately and another tree bites the dust. We haven't had much luck with these California pepper trees. John had to saw it down so he could remove the trunk. Other than that we had a nice quiet Easter Sunday.

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Day 93

For my birthday Bridget gave me these pans to make the hard shells for taco salad. I finally made them and we had taco salad for dinner tonight. John and Tim really liked them. They were impressed with the shells. And I must say I was too... Thanks Bridget they were a hit.

Friday, April 2, 2010

Day 92

A new express bus started this week from our end of town to go downtown without any stops in between. If you are a resident you could ride it for free for a week. Bridget and I took the bus so that we could get some pictures of downtown. For one of those albums we never get done... When I was younger we use to go down Fremont Street in a car (you can only walk now) and couldn't wait to see the Howdy Partner sign. His elbow would bend and he would say "Hoooowdy Partner".

Day 91

Looks like a normal day for grocery shopping but not in my house. John does all the shopping for food. I can't remember the last time I shopped alone except for scrapbooking stuff. I have decided that I'm going to start cooking more when he's home so we are not eating out so much. Let's see how long this lasts.
