Day 59

Today was a pretty quiet day. John decided to change the oil in my car. Last time I had the dealer change my oil they left paper somewhere in the oil change and it messed up my car and took them months to figure out the problem so John does it himself now.

Day 58

John is still working in the yard getting it ready for spring. I told him to trim these Texas Ranger plants way down. He certainly did...lol I can't stand these plants but men like them I think because they require very little maintenance. Actually I was hoping they would croak but they are so darn hardy.

Day 57

Bridget and I went to the taping of the More Show at the Fox 5 TV Station. It was interesting to watch how they do these live shows. The guests were Bill Engvall and Al B Sure. I didn't remember Al B's music back in the 80's. They took a group shot of us with the guests but haven't received it yet. I will post it when they email it to us. It was pretty fun to meet the anchors for the show especially Jason he is a cutie.....

Day 56

Met my friend Teresa and had lunch at Applebee's. The lunch special with the spinach salad was really good. Also had a follow up Dr. appt. and gave him the candy bouquet. He wanted to know where I got it and I told him I made it and he said "Whoa". He and his office really liked it. A kid was in the waiting room and kept eyeballing my candy and I had it in a bag to cover most of it. It's amazing how kids notice things...lol

Day 55

Tomorrow I have a follow up with my Dr. that did my sinus surgery. His office has been so nice every since the first day I made an appointment and whenever I have called with a question. Which in my case has been rare with Dr. offices. So I wanted to give them a little something. I had seen these done before and have always wanted to make one. So this is my version of the candy bouquet. Was a little more involved than I thought to make.... And yes I ate all the mistake ones....lol

Day 54

This is one of the best signs of the year. It will soon be warmer and leaves on all our trees.

Day 53

My husband said he was going to Sam's today so I asked him to refill my glass cleaner. When he was ready to leave I asked him if he remembered and he pulled his shirt up real fast like he was going to draw a gun. In his pockets were the bottles. I was cracking up.

Day 52

Are you serious??? My neighbor's daughter took orders for Girl Scout cookies and I left my husband in charge of ordering. Eight boxes later. What's really good is he hardly eats these things. So guess who will be consuming most of them.....

Day 51

My daughter-in-law and grand-daughter came up for the day from Bullhead. I met them for lunch and drove off and forgot to get my POTD. So this is a school magnet that she brought for me so I took a picture of it. I even said while we were eating to make sure I get a pic before they leave. Oh well....

Day 50

My son's band played downtown tonight at a street (block) venue. The buildings around are antique and vintage stores. The stage was pretty neat. Reminded me of the 60's. Several bands played. The boys in the band left to right.....My son Daniel (guitar), Diesel (bass) with his back to the camera, Al (guitar and singing) and Dom (drums) which is Bridget's son.

Day 49

Signed up for a charm swap for Alice in Wonderland for the IU 2010 this year at Green Valley Ranch. Bridget and I took a ride down to this stamp store. I hadn't been there in years since stamping is not my main addiction. They have the most stamps I have ever seen. But if you are allergic to cats beware..... They have 2 HUGH cats lying around and a dog. Bridget's throat was closing so we made a dash...

Day 48

I was hungry for a homemade hamburger so I started up the grill for my lonely hamburger. lol... For years I would not use a gas grill because I thought I would blow the house up. I had to get over that with the shift and days my husband works.

Day 47

Had to go by the library today and I don't know why these critters fascinate me so much. They have statues of lizards, turtles and a snake that are in the entrance.
Every time I go I want to take a picture so today I stopped and took it.

Day 46

It was 70° today and John is itching to take off for Utah with his quads. Only problem it's still 35° in Duck Creek and that would be the high. Too cold for me.

Day 45

Happy Valentines Day... Even though John messed up the week for VD (thought it was last Sunday) he got me more flowers. These pink ones are really pretty. I was just kidding him about more flowers. He must love me....

Day 44

Saturday was the first day since my sinus surgery that I actually felt like eating. So my request was a MC's cheeseburger and chocolate shake. It really didn't taste too good....lol I do hope the taste part gets better.

Day 43

A friend of mine took this picture of my son Daniel a couple of years ago and is one of my favorites. I scrapped it on a 16 x 20 canvas then set it on an easel.

Day 42

Today I had to go have my Dr. remove the splints from the surgery. Wow...I didn't realize how big those things are.
Told the girl I needed them for a pic for my 365. People
must think we are weird to do this.

Day 41

Today I had my sinus surgery and my husband said I needed this picture for my POTD. Isn't it just lovely...lol It's funny how he has gotten into this 365. My little dog slept with me all day and the big one on the floor next to the bed.

Another rainy day here. Seems like I spend a lot of time at the PO. Always mailing a swap or something somewhere....

Happy Valentine's Day...oops a week early. My husband was a little confused. So does this mean I get flowers on Valentine's Day....lol

This was a gift from one of my mom's friends when she went into the hospital in 1976 and passed away. My grandparents had it up until they passed away and then was given to my aunt. A few years back my aunt decided I should have it.

Day 36

Bridget had to go across town to do some errands so I tagged along. We visited the scrapbook store at that end of town. Nothing new there. She is letting me use some of her stamps for the CFS. This is the stack I took home. Most never used...lol

Bridget and I finally went to see this movie.
It was good. Glad the way the end turned out....

I joined the CFS (cards for soldiers) so today I worked on them. Only committed to 15 but I'm going to do more. They go so fast and I'm keeping them simple.

"Pistachios" Another one of my weaknesses. I read it is healthy to eat a handful a day. The problem is it's hard to stop at one handful.
