Day 334

Ok so this art journaling that I want to attempt. Went to the art supply place today and got some gesso, water soluble crayons and paper. I haven't the slightest idea of what I'm doing but want to give it a try. Can't draw but they say you don't need to....It's kind of intimidating. I've been watching ustreams to get ideas so here we go. lol

Day 333

I've been tea dying some things. I'm making an art journal album and I wanted tea dyed pages. Since I was making a mess I dyed some tags and ribbon to make the crinkled ribbon that I like to use. Glimmer mist works really good on this ribbon too. Oh and I stained my fingers.

Day 332

About two weeks ago I told John I would make him his favorite peanut butter cookies and my chocolate chip cookies. Sunday he asked me why this stuff was on the counter. I told him it reminds me to make them. I guess it's not working:-)

Day 331

This is a project like many that I have been putting off. Needed to get my camera cards transferred to CD's and writing on the others dates and what event is in each one. It takes forever to do this so... since I'm always watching ustreams I can get it done then. Nothing like multitasking. lol I always say I'm going to keep it up but.....as you can see I never do.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house.

Our dinner was very good. It took 2 hours to reheat the turkey so we still had the turkey smell in the house. Not sure if it was much easier but it was good. Then John said let's do the Christmas tree. His job is putting the lights on. I think he just wanted to get it over. I usually put it up the day after Thanksgiving but that's ok. More time to enjoy.

We went and picked up our dinner for tomorrow minus the veggies, whip cream and my sweet potato. I hope it taste good.

The forecast is looking rather cold for Vegas.

I signed up to help package bags for the senior citizens for Thanksgiving. They got a complete dinner. They will be delivered to them Tuesday. It's nice to know that these organizations are helping seniors.

We decided that we were going to order a Turkey this year already cooked and we just have to reheat. That way we still get the Turkey smell for a couple of hours. Today I placed that order. I have never done this before but have heard they are good. We shall see.

John and I was out and about and saw this rainbow. The camera really isn't showing it very good. I was trying to get a picture without all the electrical wires and houses. Should of went further in the desert.

Today I was sorting a stack of junk and came across this envelope to send my old cell phones. Yeah. I hate to just throw them away. I googled how to delete all the information and going to drop them in the mail.

My scrapping projects are as always out of control. I have so many ideas I want to do that I get so overloaded and can't focus. So the other day I made a list of top priorities for albums. This is the only way I can focus. Must confess though I have slipped a couple in between the list. Oh well it does help me.

Went to the movies today to see this movie. Wasn't sure what to expect but have heard good things about it. I did like the movie but was pretty intense at times. Thanks Bridget for going.

I can't even count the amount of Doctors I have been to this year. More than I think in my entire life. (And that's been awhile..lol) John and I go each year to the Skin Doctor as we both have had to have basil cell removed. I knew when I went I had a spot that looked suspicious. The Doctor said we need to remove that. I whined and asked if anything else could be done. He is having me try this cream for 5 weeks and if it doesn't work then I will have to have it removed. The scar is from a prior one removed on my arm. Bottom line stay out of the sun and don't do tanning beds.

This is Tim and John studying for the proficiency test in Math and English. John has been testing him for 4 solid days. I mean morning till night. I'm not sure if Tim or John will be the happiest if he passes these tomorrow and Tuesday. I know I will be...

Skippy bath day. Poor think looks like a rag muffin. After her bath I took the scissors to her face so she could see. Need to get her to the groomers. I have proved to be NOT a groomer...lol

I follow Ronna Farrer's blog and decided to do her 21 day challenge. I have not officially started it yet until I finish my journal for it. I've been getting the prompts each day and almost ready to begin.

Since it is Veteran's Day John and I went to Applebee's for the free meal for Vets. It was pretty busy. Thanks John and all the active and retired Vets. We all appreciate you so much.

We were talking about trees changing colors and that we hardly ever see it here. Tim said look in the neighbors yard the tree is changing. Since they don't take care of the yard I thought it was just dying. Well it's actually changing colors.

I was in my computer room working on my 365 album today and looked out the window and look what was going down the street. I yelled out to John and told him to stop these kids so I could get a picture. They were good sports and came back. If you double click on the picture you will really see the blonde with the spiked hair. Told them they were a little late doing the campaigning. They said they found the sign.

I'm always trying to get a picture when Zeus and Skippy play but I'm never fast enough. Today it worked. When they play Zeus will put Skippy's whole head in his mouth. It is the funniest thing. I hope he never bites down...lol

Since Tim had to wash the windows they had to take down all the screens and solar screens. John said he was going to wash them this weekend. I decided to surprise him and do them. So today was the day. Tim and I put them back up and going to wait and see if John notices or forgets he took them down. I'm kind of betting on he will forget.

John gave Tim a project to wash all the windows. Yahoo

John gave Zeus a bath and after he's done Zeus likes to get on the trampoline and bounce around like crazy. I still laugh every time I see him do his trampoline thing. I guess he decided to grab John 's arm as he was passing by.
