Dinner with the Lopez family at Canes. The boys had a fundraiser for the team and Canes donated 20% of total sales if you had the flyer.

Day 268
This is the class that I was most excited to have. This is Elizabeth Kartchner aka Dear Lizzy. I follow her blog and love the things she does and she didn't disappoint us with her album. I was like a little kid meeting her. The group picture is the closing ceremony. (Layle, Stepanie, Dear Lizzy, Janna, Teresa and Melody Ross. (creator of Chatterbox) Despite being on overload of classes I had a great time again. Hopefully see them in "2011".

Day 267
First class of the day for I.U. 2010 with Teresa Collins. We made the Gratitude album. I didn't finish but I never do at these classes. This is our table of girls. (Michelle, Brenda, Bridget and Me) We were called the Glitz Girls. The classes are divided into 3 groups. (The Dazzling Divas, Glitz Girls, Bling Babes) I would say about 250 ladies total at the event.

Day 265
Ok so I don't get enough reality TV. Today the coroner's inquest started for a case that has had a lot of attention in Las Vegas. This is the first time they have televised an inquest due to all the attention as to how the inquest process is done. I had a hard time dragging myself from the TV. It should last till Friday or Monday. I find this type of stuff fascinating. Good thing I have Tivo for the rest of the week.

Daniel stopped by on his way to work. It's so hard to believe he is this old. He brought a couple of dvd's that his dad had converted from the movie camera. Daniel was about 2 years old and I watched them an the tears were flowing. John even had tears in his eyes. Daniel has always been such a calm, polite, smart and good kid and the movies really show that.

Day 259
Before and after....The other day John and I saw someones mediterranean palms that were nicely shaped. I told him we need to do that to ours. They are so out of control and we weren't sure how to cut them. Well today I grabbed the choppers and went at it. These things are deadly. Got one of the thorns in my skin and didn't know it until later. Ouch. What a difference they look. I'm going to see how long it takes John to notice when he comes home.

Day 256
Saw this recipe in this magazine and looked good. (they always do) I needed a 9x3" round pan. Standard is 9x2½" so I bought the standard since I couldn't find the other one. It had a lot of steps to prepare. It didn't run over the pan but was real close. It didn't cook in the amount of time it said so it spent a lot more time in the oven. Then it had to cool which after 1 hours I gave up and followed the rest of the recipe. I had to submerge it in a simmering pan for 8 minutes to loosen the carmel to get the cake out of the pan. Well when I submerged the pan into the water the water spilled over into the cake. At this point I was ready to throw it in the trash. John took some to work and was going to share with the guys. I said please no until you try it. How embarrassing to share soggy cake....lol This is probably why I don't really like to cook. I'd rather be doing something else.

Day 254
In remembrance....This flag was flown over the WTC and given to Station 5 on Hinson. The agreement is that this flag can only be flown on 9/11 from 7am to 7pm and is flown at half mast. Other flags at LV fire stations are not flown at half mast on this day. A piece of the WTC was also given to this fire station to display.

Day 244
Took some bird seed up to Utah but didn't have a birder feeder so I took this water bottle and carved a hole to put the seed in. Pretty good idea, huh? The Blue Jays and Squirrels were going crazy for it. They kept fighting each other for the seed. This Blue Jay when the feeder was empty would pound on the feeder telling us to refill it. It was the funniest thing.
