After we got the trailer all set up in Utah Tim went strolling around the woods and found himself some deer antlers. It's really a piece of wood.

Getting the bins ready to go camping in Utah. Well as close to camping as we are going to do in the trailer. Ready for some cooler weather. The dogs know we are going so they get really excited. Zeus likes to chase the squirrels. He won't ever catch one but he tries.

My little Skipper. In the summer she sleeps under the bed and in the winter she sleeps on the bed. I guess it must be cooler under the bed. Then the winter she can't get close enough to your body in bed. Trying to keep warm.

We felt like Mexican food tonight so we went to El Burrito. This restaurant started the first location in 1969 in a trailer on Fremont Street called El Burrito Cafe (now closed). I remember going to eat at that restaurant when I was in my twenties. They then opened one on Washington and Decatur. They have the best noodle soup I have ever eaten. I tried once to shake them of the recipe but would only tell me two ingredient's. I tried to make it but not the same. They sold that location a couple years ago. In 1993 they opened this location in Summerlin. Like myself it's been in Vegas along time.

Day 238

Went out to the cemetery where my mom is buried. Hadn't been out for awhile. The headstone is really getting weather worn. I was wondering if I should check into having it replaced. I was throwing the idea around to one of my friends. I asked her opinion. She said that is why I'm being cremated and spread the ashes so no one needs to worry about it. Good point. In another 40-50 years will it really matter? I feel kinda like I should but I'm sure my mother wouldn't want me to. What's your opinion on this.

Went today and bought this charm bracelet for the Alice In Wonderland Charm Swap for I.U. I think everyone did a great job on these charms. I love how they look. I told the lady I wanted a cheapo charm bracelet that wouldn't change colors for at least two days. We (charm swap ladies) are all going to get our picture taken at the event in Sept wearing our bracelets. She laughed.

Day 235

I have been so excited for the Grand Opening of our new Hobby Lobby in Henderson. Bridget and I went out today and boy was I disappointed. I've been to one in Texas and the scrapbooking section was great. I couldn't believe this one had very little scrapbooking stuff. :( Most of the stuff was home decor which was nice but I want scrapbooking items.....lol Oh well on my way to St George next week so I will hit up Robert's.

Finished my ATC's for the swap at I.U. in September. They are going to be exchanged at the event. I'm getting excited to go.

This is just an ordinary bus but...It doesn't matter what time of day or night I go to Costco or Chili's this bus is waiting at the bus stop. They either run continuously or I don't know what the deal is. It has gotten to be kind of a joke when we go. Doesn't take much to amuse us....lol

John wanted to go to the Texas Buffet so he could get all you can eat seafood. They have that on Friday nights. We really go crazy on the crab legs. We ate so much I'm surprised we didn't get sick.

Was in this neighborhood today and remembered the "Extreme Makeover" house was just around the corner. I needed a POTD and this is it. I don't think the people are still living in this house. Looked empty and seems like I heard that somewhere. As you can tell it really sticks out in this neighborhood.

Dawned on me today when I was cutting out an album on my "E" that I have never taken a picture of one of my prize possession's. I use this all the time with the DS. One of the best scrapbooking tools I ever purchased and actually still use. Bridget and I went to Sweet Tomatoes today for lunch and talked for about 3 hours. Yep... (forgot to take a pic) We haven't seen each other in sometime. I think we got caught up on what's happening...lol

Day 229

Since Daniel's last day at his old job was Sunday he has this whole week off before he starts his new job and college on Monday. He hasn't had Tuesdays off in about a year. Those Popeye Tuesday Specials make it impossible to get off work on Tuesday's...lol He wanted to go to lunch at Cafe Rio for the Coconut Shrimp Tacos. They only serve them on Tuesday's so it's been along time since he's had them. It's so hard to pin this kid down to do anything. Between work, sleeping, girlfriend and friends he's hard to get some time with. We had a long lunch with a lot to catch up on.

Day 228

Was in the closet today doing something and came across this wooden box that has a Bible in it. When my Dad's mother passed away one of the sisters gave this to my Dad. I always said I wanted this Bible. I just love the box and all. When he passed away the step children ransacked his house before any of his kids arrived. Yep they took the Bible. I told my brother that was handling the affairs that the Bible was the only thing I wanted and to get it back. Well at the funeral they delivered it. They weren't very happy which I didn't understand it wasn't their Dad or Grandmother... BTW they had already been to a Lawyer before my brother arrived and was told by the same Lawyer my brother hired...Step children in the State of Az. have no rights. He lived in a small town and not too many Lawyers. Good thing they ransacked the house prior.

Since I got my new camera I'm taking pictures of anything and everything. It is so cool. This is a picture showing far away with the normal lens then zooming at the same spot. It's great not having to change the lens.

I have been having trouble with my camera and thought the new battery took care of it. Well it didn't. It won't even power on sometimes. John had reminded me when Charlee dropped it off the counter last time we were at her house. Oh yeah... Well I've been wanting a Tamron lens for sometime so I don't have to change lenses when I zoom. My John bought me a new Nikon camera and the Tamron lens for my BD. The camera guy asked him how many BD's he was out to. Funny camera man. John is so good to me....

Was doing errands today and looked over to McD's and noticed these guys hanging around.

I joined the 3rd round of the Vintage Album Swap and today I got my album from my partner Kimi. This album is absolutely gorgeous. She scrapped a box for it to sit in. My favorite is Graphic 45 and the Alice In Wonderland is beautiful. I was beyond excited. Go here to see all the pictures.

Was at the other end of town today so I had to stop at Tommy's. They are building a new one closer to me and that is not going to be pretty for me. While I was at that end of town I decided to go down memory lane. This house is the very first house I purchased. Bought it about 35 years ago for $27,950.00. At that time we thought it was way over our heads. I think it still looks pretty good for 35 years. Not the same color and fence. We had enclosed the garage with a beautiful brick fireplace with a hearth the length of the wall.

Haven't taken a POTD of my furbabies in along time. When I go from room to room they follow me to each room. They spend a lot of time in this room. It's where the computer is.

John and I bought these at Costco and we really like them. They are kind of plain but better to snack on then my fav chocolate. They have toasted soy beans, almonds, pumpkin kernels and cranberries. Good healthy snack.

My friend Jan and her husband Kirk had a work bowling event at the Texas so after they got done they stopped by. They live about 45 minutes on the other side of town. Told them I needed a picture and they ran outside. Got it anyway.

Day 218

So our outside fan fell. Took the bent bracket back to Fanco where we purchased and they installed. BTW they did our whole house. The guy at Fanco said the installer should have wrapped wire on the inside to prevent it from falling out. He also told us we were lucky it lasted nine years. OK... So they didn't back the warranty and help at all. So John is going to cap the wires and forget it. Never turned it on anyway. Won't ever buy a fan from Fanco again.

It drives me crazy when people post that they purchased new stuff at J's & M's and our stores don't get it for awhile. A couple of weeks ago one of the nice enablers posted a picture of this paper stack. Well my fav is Halloween so I've been stalking J's waiting for it. Well they got it and so did I....

Daniel wanted to go see this movie again. He had already seen it at the drive in this last weekend. It was the funniest movie I have seen in along time. Can't believe it was only rated PG-13.

Went to see Inception today. It was a good movie but confusing at times. I told John when we left I can't imagine anyone writing this story without being out there. It's like how would you ever think of this in your head to write????
